5 positions (Backend Java Developer)

Duration: 12 Months contract (potential to extend or convert)

Location – Remote - PST time zone

Interview: HM then code pair link interview (Hacker rank)

-       5 needs at this time

-       Focus is on FedRamp Initiative lifecycle management

-       1 more on Security Side

-       Others more towards lifecycle management and tool development

-       Minimum 5+ Years of experience (core Backend Developers with strong Java (required) some Python (preferred)) (not looking for full stack/front end)

o   Understanding: Lifecycle management, compliance around security

o   Tools we use: CI CD skills, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Git knowledge is good to have

o   Platform we use: Tomcat, MySQL, JVM

o   Stack we use: Linux

o   Services we use: Microservices. How 3rd party components integrate, SOA

o   Nice to have: Docker, AWS, some GCP (don’t use GCP it yet) nice to have – We also have internal cloud.. Kubernetes and Docker is experience

-       Day to day:

o   Project based – Projects around 3rd party libraries

§  Upgrades, lifecycle management, core changes, POCs

§  Build certain tools around it

§  Core services – millions of lines of code

§  Comfortable looking at Java and evaluate

§  Do POC –

§  In some cases, understand dependencies of this code

§  Build pipelines, extract data

Must haves:

-       Java Development Experience – Strong

-       Python - Highly Preferred

-       Ruby - Preferred

Nice to haves:

-       Some Security experience/knowledge – FEDRAMP initiatives, vulnerability management, past experience where you have resolved vulnerability, bugs is nice to have
