JUF is seeking a Business Applications Manager for our IT department.
As the Business Application Manager, you will direct the application development needs as well as the service management needs within the department. As part of the job, you will meet with internal clients to define requirements, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress of multiple technology projects across applications development and technology implementation. We are looking for a professional with well-rounded background in information technology, hands-on experience on Salesforce Platform, web technologies and SCRUM based project teams.
This position requires progressive experience in application development and project management with excellent communication and organizational skills. A well-rounded background in IT with a solid understanding of Salesforce, web/mobile/responsive design, development, implementation and operation are required.
You will use sound judgment based on technical experience to lead the development on various projects and handle multiple teams concurrently, be detail oriented, and able to accurately estimate resource requirements while assuming lead responsibility for projects that include time critical deliverables assigned to inter-departmental and externally resourced teams.
A strong working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Systems, Content Management Systems, Search Engine Optimization and other e-commerce technologies is required, as well as the capability of developing and implementing operating plans for large-organization web sites and related applications.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works daily with team members and various stake holders and participates in meetings that include daily standups, sprint planning and retrospective meetings. Oversees the development, testing and implementation of Salesforce platform as well as various other technology projects within the organization.
- Manages the planning and implementation activities on various projects and reports on current project capacity and trends. Ensures resource capacity issues are identified and proactively addressed through various operational teams. Serves as liaison and inter-department leader taking ownership of requirements gathering and quality metrics.
- Organizes professional staff teams to improve and support customer service functions, and interface with technical support and graphics. Supports and understands the different website databases, content, operations, and enhances site functionality. Initiates gap analysis processes to routinely reevaluate strategic plans, works with users to understand business requirements, and builds process flow schematics that assist developers.
- Compiles best practices and other relevant documentation for operational and delivery efficiency. Measures project team performance and reports/suggests best practices and effective measures to improve.
- Develops and demonstrates new strategies and techniques that apply technology solutions to resolve organizational problems.
- Directly supports JUF campaign integration on an ongoing basis in addition to mandatory campaign-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- 6-8 years of overall IT Experience demonstrating increased responsibility.
- 4-6 years of experience managing application development teams in the capacity of Application Development Manager, Technology Lead, Team Lead.
- 3-5 years of hands on experience managing multiple SCRUM teams. CSM Certification highly desired.
- Experience with Salesforce, required.
- Experience leading custom development and implementation projects from a technology perspective strongly desired.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse and distributed team of Application Architects, Developers, Testers and Business Analysts.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and in budget relying on industry best practices and guidelines. Strong experience in establishing process, estimating, and developing optimal resource utilization plans.
- Strong understanding of User Interface/Experience from the end user perspective with ability to align with emerging technologies and trends.
- Excellent reasoning, problem-solving and conflict resolution ability.
- Excellent communication skills with sound judgment based on technical and management experience.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project teams with varying goals and deadlines.
