Business Intelligence Consultant- Tableau Administration

Business Intelligence Consultant/Tableau Administrator will be responsible for supporting a Tableau implementation by providing overall site-level administration, maintaining security, reporting, and responding to customer's requests. Any experience with Alteryx server is a plus.  This is a long term contract position budgeted for at least 6 months to two years.  Will initially work remote until the virus clears and then will be required to work onsite.

Responsibilities for the Business Intelligence/Tableau Administrator

• If system is down, provide any upgrades or troubleshooting that are required
• Tableau admin and development required for any performance issues so the lead can understand on reports
• Linux servers, some on windows – they need to know AWS
• The project revolves around the AWS platform
• Shell scripting is helpful
• Alteryx understanding
• Troubleshoot and install apps

Requirements for the Business Intelligence Consultant/Tableau Administrator

• Must have at least 7 + years of Tableau Server administration both on Linux and Windows
• site administration,
• security maintenance,
• reporting.
• Should be able to design, implement, and upgrade the Alteryx and Tableau environments.
• 5+ years of writing complex SQL queries
• 2+ years of experience using data integration tools like Alteryx and Tableau
• Alteryx experience is a plus as long as candidate has strong expertise with Tableau
• Should be able to build comprehensive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop
• Proven ability to champion business intelligence principles with business owners, data analysts and DBAs
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong shell scripting skills
• Experience with AWS is a plus-should know
• Experience in data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure business intelligence platform success.
• Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer etc.
