What you’ll be doing…
The Community Content Specialist is responsible for curating and supporting the production of multimedia content to engage our community audiences across our new Community blog, social media handles and our owned media channels. Our Tableau Community blog is a new channel, set to drive awareness of our programs and to further engage with the community.
We’re looking for a talented writer, communicator, and creative producer that is ready to lead our new Community content hub, focused on curating and promoting the best community-led and Tableau-led content on the planet. Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of experience successfully executing multi-channel content strategies and a portfolio of work you are proud to submit with your application.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include…
- Lead the development and growth of our Tableau Community communication, including website, social, blog, and monthly email channels.
- Lead the content strategy and publishing process for the Tableau Community page
- Work with other Tableau Community programs and teams to help amplify their programs through our owned channels
- Curate content produced by our community members, including posts from personal f blogs, community-produced podcasts, community-hosted virtual events, and Tableau Public data visualizations
- Own process and operations for reviewing and amplifying community-nominated Tableau Public visualizations, coordinating internal stakeholders in selection and ensuring visualizations selected follow consistent visual analysis best practices and are representative of community diversity and appropriate topics
- Managing social media channels, escalating conversations, and reporting on key conversations
- Schedule, produce, and track social and email content on a weekly basis
- Work with the corporate blog and social teams to ensure strategy alignment, including attending weekly editorial meetings
- Generate weekly and monthly reports in regard to the blog, social and email channels.
- Analyze social media metrics to determine an optimal engagement strategy.
- Brainstorm and execute on creative ideas for cross-channel social campaigns.
- Enable and train cross-functional teams to leverage our community channels.
- Manage community engagement, including posting, responding to, and managing comments and feedback on paid and organic social content.
- Contribute to the strategy and execution of live and virtual community events.
Who you are…
- Strong communication skills. Excellent written and oral communication.
- Experience developing different content formats including animations, GIFs, imagery, etc.
- Domain. Experience with social media across multiple social platforms.
- Data Driven. Experience analyzing data, patterns and trends
- Tableau experience preferred.
- Strategic thinker.
- A Team player.
- Detail-oriented and deadline driven.
- Experienced. 2-4 years+ experience in Marketing or Public Relations
