For more information, go to: https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/pslfFlow.action#!/pslf/launch Description of Job The Work Unit: The Data Visualization and Analysis unit is responsible for: (1) developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated processes that bring together surveillance data from multiple sources relating to the COVID-19 pandemic (2) aggregating, analyzing, and displaying COVID-19 data for Colorado; (3) responding and fulfilling data requests; (4) responding to media inquiries; (5) developing, maintaining, and updating the infrastructure and environment for COVID-19 related data; (6) coordinating across CDPHE and external agencies for COVID-19 data access and improvement. What You'll Be Doing: This position will be responsible for maintaining and further enhancing a library of Tableau visualizations for internal and public use. This position will also be responsible for developing new visualizations relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Qualifications/Substitutions: Six years of full time professional experience in data management and statistical analysis that included SQL and Tableau.(Substitution) (OR) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in epidemiology, research methodology, statistics, statistical analysis, mathematics, economics, or closely related field; AND Two years of full time professional experience in data management and statistical analysis that included SQL and Tableau.(Minimum Qualifications) (OR) A master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in epidemiology, research methodology, statistics, statistical analysis, mathematics, economics, or other field of study related to the work assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.(Substitution) This experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application. Preferred Qualifications and Essential Competencies: The preferred experience, competencies and abilities are highly desirable for this position and will be considered in selecting the successful candidate: Advanced experience and proficiency working with Tableau Ability to articulate the components and complexities of data to a variety of audiences at different competency levels Experience working with the SQL data analysis tools Strong data science and relational database skills for manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing a wide variety of data sets Understanding and experience with integrating variables and analyses between large datasets Ability to summarize and explain orally and in writing the results of data analysis Master’s degree in Public Health Supplemental Information A complete application packet must include: A completed State of Colorado application.
