Data Analyst III

6 month contract – extensions possible

REMOTE until further notice

Overview:

• This team is apart of the clients Enterprise Data Analytics group. They compile data and analytics for the product managers; in what areas is the product selling, has processes improved, instillation time, disconnects, why is that happening - any questions from product managers and help them answer those questions – to answer those questions they pull data from their database and provide it in a tableau/power point visualization
• All of the work is in 2 categories, ad hoc or periodic reporting. Some reports are every month or automatic workflows and they do the development for that and recurring reports. The other half is ad hoc report when they need to answer specific questions - everyone works together on this and work very closely with the product managers
• What he has done in the past is hire analysts that are flexible and can learn to pull data, don’t need amazing SQL skills, they use Alteryx for ETL. A statistics or economics background/having a good business sense and able to do something with the data is the most important skill
• Right now they are pulling data from Teradata and then loading it into the tableau server - recently stood up own instance of Teradata where they can build custom tables

Must Haves:

• 3-5 years of experience
• Experience with a visualization tool – Tableau preferred OR powerbi, domo, datarama, - understanding the concept of the visualization tools
• SQL and ETL experience
• Light DBA skills
• Microsoft Stack
• Power point

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working with Datascience programming languages (R or Python)
• Alterix
• Any machine learning or AI experience – just now getting into bringing in more machine learning functionality into their workflows
