Nice To Have SAS JOB DESCRIPTION Data Engineer GENERAL FUNCTION As a Data Engineer, you will develop fast data infrastructure leveraging data streaming, batch processing, and eventually machine learning to personalize experiences for our customers. You will work with the broader Data Engineering Guild to own and provide technical ownership over our blossoming self-service ecosystem. Whether a new feature or a bug fix, you will help your team and deliver the most elegant and scalable solutions, all while learning and growing your skills. Most importantly, yoursquoll work and collaborate with a nimble, autonomous, cross-functional team of makers, breakers, doers, and disruptors who love to solve real problems and meet real customer needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES middot Take existing Tableau reports and enhance them with additional visibility. middot Take data from SAS and create new Tableau reports, graphs, etc. middot Combine data from different Information Security functions to create new Tableau reports to provide additional insight. middot Develop means of recreating executive reporting views so that re-creation of reporting outside of Tableau is no longer necessary. middot Assist Lead Data Engineering in improving processes and data quality. middot Provide some instruction to new users of Tableau to help them self-serve. middot MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES REQUIRED middot Proficient in Tableau middot Understands SAS and how data is imported from SAS to Tableau middot Bachelorrsquos degree middot At least 2 years of data engineering experience middot At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies including Spark, Cassandra, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift, or MongoDB middot At least 1 year of experience in Java, Scala, Python, or SQL
