We’re looking for mid-career and senior specialists who can working alongside our clients and other disciplines to deliver top tier Salesforce projects from design and configuration to integration and testing, providing an outstanding client experience and making a difference to the business of some of the biggest and most iconic brands in the UK. As a Salesforce technical architect, you will draw on your skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform. You will lead, provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, enterprise architecture standards, working closely with functional specialists to develop creative business solutions for iconic brands, solving some of the most exciting problems for our clients. Responsibilities Depending on the size of the project and the client needs, your role will cover a broad range of responsibilities such as technical and solution architecture design, development, prototyping and testing Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Building lasting relationships with executive clients, sponsors and client architecture team. Serve as a trusted advisor, drive conversations with our customer’s enterprise architects and business stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as security, performance, development Process, and application governance Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Force.com platform Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure Review and correcting project/program direction, approach and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward Identification and pro-active management of risk areas and commitment to seeing an issue through to complete resolution Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners Contribute to the growth of the practice by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, leveraging junior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical Salesforce customer and partner colleagues Collaborating with amazing digital experts across disciplines to innovate and create great solutions. You’ll also have strong Salesforce technical skills including a number of the following: One or more certifications from the architect track such as Certified Application/Systems/Technical Architect. Significant experience as a senior architect in a mid to large sized organization with demonstrated leadership driving an organizational transformation in a matrixed organization. Polished speaker with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization. Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences. Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and App Cloud. Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture and knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem such as Einstein Analytics, CPQ and Order Management solutions. Experience in setting vision and standards for the development and integration of the Salesforce platform. Significant experience including implementation experience with one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM, ERP), filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior technical resources Experience delivering projects using agile Scrum methodology. Experience in onsite delivery lead roles on at least five full-lifecycle Salesforce implementations, with strong expertise in at least two of the following areas/modules: Sales Cloud Service Cloud Marketing Cloud Community / App Cloud Strong consulting and/or CRM implementation experience. Experience with development life-cycle, code management strategies, advanced technical concepts, architecture and security approaches, capacity considerations and integration approaches. Experience with system configuration using workflows, approval processes, custom objects, validation rules, formulas, process builder, flows and Data Loader. Relational databases and data modelling. Experience contributing to RFP responses and other sales activities. Development experience in Apex, VisualForce, Lightning Components, Force.com or Java/J2EE. Meta-data migration between SFDC Sandboxes and Production Orgs using Change Sets, Eclipse, Ant or DX tooling. Good knowledge of Web Development (Ajax, JavaScript, SOAP, HTTP, JS Remoting, Angular JS, CSS Bootstrap). Experience with version-control tools (e.g. Github, Sourcetree). Experience integrating Force.com development with modern deployment and release processes (e.g. Agile; Continuous Integration, Jenkins). Knowledge or experience with these would be an advantage: Knowledge of wider eCommerce & marketing technologies such as Hybris, Commerce Cloud, Adobe, Sitecore Experience with Salesforce Lightning and approaches to mobile applications.
