Role: Dot Net Developer

Location: Canada

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designs and develops software solutions
2. Documents the software design as per standard operating procedures
3. Helps determine feasibility of new requirements and compatibility with current systems.
4. Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate application behavior and logic
5. Enhances existing software to adapt to new requirements
6. Analyses and resolves production tickets that aren’t resolved by Application Management
7. Makes recommendations for improving software processes and completes process improvements activities
8. Develops user documentation and knowledgebase articles to support production support
9. Develops scripts to improve support processes when required
10. Develops, facilitates and maintains product support tools including run books, technical diagrams and knowledge bases to aid in product support processes.
11. Responsible for performing activities that are in compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Guidelines and performing other duties as assigned by management
12. Serve as an expert on applications by quickly able to take over current projects and provide required technical support in terms of revising, updating, refactoring and debugging current code
13. Gain SME knowledge on Application Systems and lead the modules independently

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

1. BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Experience / Knowledge:

1. Required: Min 4+ years of professional experience in development role
2. Required: Demonstrated expertise development of applications using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Oracle Apex, Web Services etc
3. Required: Solid understanding of web application development including knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML & XSLT
4. Required: Experience with one or more of the following database query languages: T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL
