Job Title: Functional Safety Manager

Location: Southfield, MI

Duration: 12+ months contract

Responsibilities:

• Serve as point of contact for functional safety consultancy and implementation

• Interface with the different teams and drive the implementation towards ASIL compliance in the ECU development lifecycle as per the OEM specification.

• Perform the activities to achieve safety compliance as per ISO 26262

• Own and maintain the safety relevant work products and ensure that all the activities follow the required confirmation measures as per the standard and the targetted ASIL level.

• Implement the Functional safety practices, methodologies in the project

• Ensure that the project confirms to all the safety audit/assessment requirements

Create safety plan, perform safety analysis tasks (e.g. FMEA, FTA), ASIL decomposition, HARA, prepare safety case and ensure successful safety audits/assessments by OEM.

A brief JD is given below:

• 8 - 15 years’ experience in automotive ECU development including E/E architecture and software development

• Experience in the full ECU development lifecycle.

• Exposure to protocols like CAN, LIN, UDS, Automotive Ethernet

• Exposure to AUTOSAR standard and implementation/integration methodologies

• Experience in ASPICE standard compliance

• Experience in embedded software guidelines (e.g. MISRA C)

• Experience in the different tools in software development lifecycle

• Exposure to Functional Safety and Cybersecurity standards (ISO 26262 and ISO 21434)

• Experience with ASPICE assessments and ISO 26262 audits/assessments is preferred

• Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of project deliverables, go above and beyond the task at hand
