Position description Responsible for the analyzing and visualizing various data sources utilized by Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL) for trends, insights and outliers. In conjunction with more senior technical staff and MCL partners, develops dashboards and other reporting solutions using various clinical data sources. Partner with key business stakeholders across MCL to understand their data needs and device solutions leveraging Tableau. Experience in analyzing data using SQL is necessary. Ability to work on multiple initiatives and ability to reprioritize based on changing demands. Performs various development activities such as gathering requirements from business partners, writing SQL Queries against underlying database and designing interactive dashboards. Evaluates alternative approaches and presents recommendations to teams and unit leadership. Works effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders. Willingness to learn new tools and acquire new skills. May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and training/experience in technical development; OR, Associate's degree and 5 years' professional experience in technical development. Additional qualifications Tableau Knowledge and experience in Data Warehousing and Data Analysis. 2+ Years' Experience with SQL. 2+ Year of Tableau experience. Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tool is desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of system design principles, software development methodologies, and computer programming. Ability to take responsibility and accountability for own activities. Possesses ability to multi-task and prioritize issues appropriately. Aids in the evaluation of alternative approaches and may help in presenting recommendations to teams and unit. Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills. May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Acts as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to adequately support the division's computing systems. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,805 based on a full-time position.
