ITE Salesforce System Administrator Consultant

Background of this search: During the past three years, the Inter-American Development Bank implemented several of its corporate functions leveraging Salesforce software solutions. The main objective was to consolidate the external communication efforts and client relationship management for Countries and Sectors through Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud. In addition, BID Lab implemented Communities Cloud to manage client-facing information and interactions with Executing agencies and 7 Strategic Core business areas are using Service Cloud for Case and Matter Management. .

ITE/ITO division is currently supporting all applications in Salesforce and working with various partners to implement new projects in Salesforce. We are looking for a subject matter expertise on the Salesforce platform with emphasis on Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities), Financial Service Cloud and other related applications to assure that best practices are implemented, and the modules and applications are efficiently and effectively used to support Inter-American Development Bank business requirements.

The team’s mission: The Information Technology Department (ITE) is the focal point for all IT services (infrastructure and applications), architecture, policies and security at Headquarters and Country Offices. It is also responsible for formulating the Bank’s IT Strategy, its implementation and providing related tools, solutions, and services.

What You’ll Do
  • Working closely with business Subject Matter Experts, user community, technical and development teams, and other team members in the organization, on Salesforce maintenance and support tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, test scripts, and other system documentation while adhering to IDBG standards.
  • Identifying benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs and their impact on the integration with other systems.
  • Answering user questions, working with key stakeholders to determine requirements, customizing the application to appeal to users, setting up reporting and dashboards for managers, keeping an eye on availability and performance, activating the features in new releases, and other production support related tasks.
  • Coordinating the life cycle of application changes, corrective, and new functionalities, in the area of responsibility, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support.
  • Updating and assigning new permissions according to the scalable and segmented security plan that has been implemented by using the 4 main levels of Salesforce.com security.
  • Following the approval workflow, adding new users to Communities Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud using the predefined roles and permissions.
  • Supporting the creation of new Communities as well as the modification of the existing ones. The maintenance team will train and collaborate with IDBG stakeholders for building branded Communities’ site.
  • Using Email Studio for creating new email templates that can be used to send emails to the global organization, including multiple branches, regions, languages, and divisions within the organization.
  • Supporting the creation of new Landing Pages and Microsites, as well as the modification of the existing ones. The Maintenance Team will train and collaborate with IDBG stakeholders for building branded landing pages with Web Studio.
  • Using Audience Builder component of Marketing Cloud, for segmenting data to create lists and customer journeys and create personalized multi-channel campaigns while delivering cross-channel personalized experiences at every step of the customer lifecycle.
  • Participating as part of the internal Salesforce Maintenance and Support team.
  • Supporting daily operations and identifying risks that may affect the continuity of the operations.
  • Maintaining abreast of new Salesforce releases and developments and providing demos and/or presentations of platform functionalities to business stakeholders and ITE teams.


What You’ll Need

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group

Education: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline is required.

Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Salesforce experience as Platform Administrator, specializing in design, configuration, solution design, and integration in multiple areas of Salesforce.
  • Minimum two (2) full life cycle implementation of Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud (Communities).
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with experience Cloud (Communities).
  • Must have basic Salesforce certifications of Administration and Advanced Administration.
  • Certification of Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud (Communities) is preferred if the experience is less than 5 years.

Languages: English and Spanish

Core And Technical Competencies
  • Ability to implement best practices of Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud (Communities) in Salesforce through design of application configuration, with minimum development and system customization.
  • Ability to review and understand Salesforce Platform configuration, interfaces, and programs to coordinate the troubleshoot of defects or incidents reported in the operation of the Salesforce solution.
  • Some background in email marketing and understanding of UX on the email channel.
  • Knowledge of multiple communities’ setup.
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM Act and how to implement/control compliance mechanisms in the marketing cloud.
  • Familiarity with GDPR.
  • Excellent communication and business relationship skills.
  • Must be proficient in Spanish and English.
