CGI Federal is looking for a Solution Architect to support a project within our Regulatory Agency Programs business unit at our Fairfax, VA location. The client is looking to us to help them manage a set of 40+ existing applications as well as develop enhancements and modernizations. We're looking for a candidate that can lead us in this effort.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Work directly with senior clients (including C-Level clients) to articulate and document the rationale for solutioning decisions and CGI's approach.
- Review existing applications, technology stack, and roadmap documents with the application leads and provide feedback for improvements and recommendations
- Provide architectural oversight, technology evaluation, and modernization options for various applications in the portfolio.
- Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with clients, team members, and other intersecting organizations to manage various platform upgrade activities. Examples include Windows 2016 upgrade, Oracle migration, IE to Chrome migration etc.
- Provide thought leadership and technical guidance for the strategy of Cloud migration and Data Center move for the entire portfolio
- Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to the client to introduce best practices for all O&M and enhancement activities
- Lead projects teams to establish DevOps and SecOps using tools such as Git, Maven, SonarCube, Junit and Katalon.
- Strong full stack development experience with Java, .Net applications on premise and cloud platform.
- This position requires at least 10 years of relevant experience. We're looking for a senior-level Technical Architect.
- Well-versed in web technologies and modern architecture and be familiar with best practices.
- Experience with ADSF authentication and authorization of applications for internal and external applications.
- Work effectively with Developers, Testers, PMs, QAs, and BAs to support necessary technical guidance for the application management
- Experience working directly with clients, providing guidance to them as well as internal teams Understanding of data structures and understanding of data migration
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

- May have experience applying object-oriented programming and design approaches, and patterns-based design and development
- May have experience applying Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts including RESTful and SOAP-based services
- May have experience enforcing application security in the Java EE or .NET platforms, enforcing data security in the Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database systems, and using relevant identity management frameworks/specifications like SAML
- May have experience in NIST Framework
