Division: Marketing Reports To: Strategic Initiatives & Operations Manager SUMMARY: The main focus of this position is on tailoring Salesforce to our business’s unique needs in order to drive revenue growth through the sale of biotechnology research products and assay services. The Junior Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing an existing, but nascent, Salesforce database with an initial focus on data management and support of daily operations. Working primarily with the Sales and Marketing Team, the Junior Administrator will handle administrative functions, customization, and data reporting, while adapting an approach for PBL’s specific business and industry. By targeting reports and processes in support of overall business goals, the administrator will facilitate driving efficiency and effectiveness of business operations, while directly improving and boosting productivity for numerous cross-departmental teams. This position will also provide support for marketing initiatives to further company goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage large data sets. Reconcile, migrate, maintain, and upload data (e.g. leads, contacts, opportunities) with a keen focus on data integrity. Build out additional relevant detail for data as needed. Handle administrative functions such as account, report, dashboard, and workflow maintenance. Customize fields, layouts, objects, records, etc. to create workflows and easily consumable dashboards and reports to track organization goals. Determine, execute, and evaluate possible solutions and customizations to address evolving needs and business process gaps (e.g. ERP integration, lead source, contact list segmentation). Continuously seek feedback and integrate it into workflows, reports, and operations. Nurture adoption and drive internal usage of Salesforce.com (i.e. create training materials and workshops). Perform additional duties and/or other projects as required or assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None REQUIREMENTS: 4-year degree required with 1+ year of experience in a business-related field. Science background helpful, but not necessary. Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM platform; Experience in Salesforce Lightning strongly preferred. Official Salesforce Administration Certification isn’t required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Creative and analytical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset. Preferred experience with troubleshooting. Action-oriented and responsive collaborator with a positive attitude. Able to operate with a high level of autonomy, learn quickly, and adapt. Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Working knowledge of project/task management preferable.
