Developers are part of the wider NB Global Technology Team and have a voice in contributing to the firm wide technology agenda, integrating best practices, technology standards and innovation across the entire team. Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Salesforce Developer Tech Lead to be part of our rapidly evolving technology environment, where you’ll manage a small team of highly skilled and motivated developers. This is VP level role.
This is a collaborative role: you won’t be in a cube, coding in a vacuum, but taking an active role in developing business technology tools. You will work as part of an agile team participating in analysis, design, development & implementation of applications, systems and processes that address business needs & are aligned to a multi-year road map.
Specifically aligned with Client Coverage and Alternative Investments (Private Equity & Debt) groups, you will focus on our Salesforce multi-org environment, including other applications related to these businesses.
The right candidate would:
- Work independently to architect, design, integrate and develop technology solutions for our Salesforce environment and related applications.
- Manage, motivate and mentor a small team of highly skilled developers towards successful, timely, and quality solutions.
- Partner with the business to deliver innovated technology solutions, including review and approval of requirements, management of expectations, and navigating them through the Software Development Life cycle.
- Manage and execute the relevant technology streams of the firm’s larger initiatives
- Champion technical excellence and hold the team accountable to high standards.
- Manage the day-to-day work queue of the team’s development deliverables.
- Effectively prioritize competing requests across multiple key stakeholders and business units
- Successfully manage key vendor relationships.
- Seamlessly partner with other Global Technology partners, including Application Service Delivery group, who have accountability for Delivery & Service Management.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, listening and understanding the business needs, applying experience and business insight to guide strategy and solutions.
- Discuss and debate solutions, both process and technique – ask why things are done and challenge the status quo before executing.
- Actively participate in the Agile process, following the Scrum Methodology.
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience with Salesforce development experience including Force.com, Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, Mobile and salesforce.com APIs (Enterprise, Partner, Metadata, Tooling API), including integrations with vendor packages and in-house systems.
- 3+ years’ experience managing development teams.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce configurations (Roles, Profiles, Validations rules, Workflows, Assignment rules, Approval processes, Reports/Dashboards, Access Control, Custom objects/fields).
- Advanced Salesforce user/administrator skills (including using permissions, roles, profiles, queues, security setup, views, and page layouts).
- Experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds is preferred.
- Experience in JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS is a plus.
- Understanding of and experience with the Asset Management industry preferred.
- Sales & Marketing project experience is a plus.
- Private Markets knowledge is a plus.
- Have a strong sense of ownership.
