What we're looking for: As a Salesforce Platform Administrator you have proven experience serving as a Salesforce super-user and subject matter expert providing day-to-day user support and troubleshooting of system issues. Position Summary As the Salesforce Platform Administrator you are responsible for platform maintenance and DevOps. You will manage release management development ops process and implement best practices for platform security and stability. You will work within a team of IT engineers on problems of limited scope and complexity which are structured to develop knowledge and experience and will follow established best practices and procedures to achieve overall performance, schedule and quality standards. You will effectively communicate with other development team members and demonstrate the ability to deliver quality results in a timely fashion, receive general guidance and direction on platform stability, security, architecture, and interdependencies to follow established practice and procedures for overcoming technical challenges. Primary Job Responsibilities Under general guidance, performs Platform administrator work, deployments, manage code Repository and environment refreshes. Conducts Salesforce.com release upgrades and performs new feature assessments and Provides expertise to the organizational readiness team in the creation of training material Responds to and diagnoses problems and resolves them. Will be involved in hands-on SFDC configuration, customization, and enhancements Is familiar with and fully understands both the upstream and downstream systems and consumers. Provides guidance on how to best utilize the system and its capabilities. Fully understands the integration points between Salesforce and other systems and monitors them for issues Liaise between customers and Third Party vendor support when necessary. Provides expertise to the organizational readiness team in the creation of training material. Assists with testing of system releases, enhancements and bug fixes Communicates any system maintenance activities and software upgrades to the appropriate teams. Provides first level testing of new features Provides constant feedback on areas of improvement in process, usability and capability. Administers Salesforce security and works with the global security team on system audits. Adds new configuration elements including approved changes to business process, organization changes, workflows, and security models. Applies the company’s software engineering processes and standards Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work; communicates technical issues within scope of assignment; may assist with technical specification documentation and review Learns principles of continuous work practice improvement through involvement in post project review; implements and maintains quality improvements to process and products as they are introduced into the development process Coordinates own development activities on routine work and cooperates with other developers and scrum team members on technical aspects Work collaboratively with teams, as necessary, and assume individual responsibility for assigned portions of Platform goals. Report weekly status to the manager and project team. Collaborate with teams in different geographical locations Qualifications Ideally 4+ years of IT support experience in a professional environment. Salesforce Administrator Certification Advanced Administrator and platform App builder certification preferred. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proficient debugging skills and strong system administration abilities. Basic Qualifications Requires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years; or a PhD without experience.
