POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, US Commercial Marketing Automation Operations will report to the Associate Director, Marketing and Sales Digital Platforms. The candidate should have experience managing marketing automation and sales management platforms at the enterprise level. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Marketing, Sales, etc.), across brands, and business units to develop processes, best practices, the build and execution of programs that consistently, effectively meet and exceed business objectives. In addition, the individual should have demonstrated capabilities as a team player and must be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment with high quality deliverables within time and budget.
- In this role, the ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is eager to contribute and learn. This candidate needs strong leadership and interpersonal skills who enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The Manager will oversee the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and support bringing customer cross channel engagement and insights into the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform. The candidate must be experienced in and responsible for requirement writing, UAT, developing functional solutions across multiple businesses, manage ongoing user support, and provide continuous education and training across Marketing teams. By developing an understanding of the business and customer needs, this person will play a key role in helping to implement new features and functions.
- Experience in Marketing Automation and CRM platforms (Salesforce is preferred) is a requirement along with the skills to execute plans with keen attention to detail and timing. We are seeking a creative, action-oriented, results-driven Marketing Automation Specialist who will be able to drive and develop Marketing Automation at the company in all its different facets. This individual should become the trusted advisor to key stakeholders for continued growth and expansion of the Marketing and Sales Cloud technology roadmap. The Marketing Automation Operations Manager will act as the subject matter expert and go-to resource for SalesForce Marketing Cloud for all colleagues in US Commercial. The US Marketing Automation Operations Manager will have full accountability of complete delivery of future enablement capabilities. Some examples, but not limited to, of near term Zoetis initiatives include stand up of Lightening launch, Audience Builder, DMP, and Development of a Lead Scoring/Lead Lifecycle Management program.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operational support for the organization's US Commercial Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
- Support of Lightening transition for our Salesforce Sales Cloud program, including UAT, user story review and business team training and support
- Manage projects across US Marketing and sales teams to bring new features onto the platform to meet business objectives. Responsible for requirements gathering, gaining approval of business requirements, testing, and successful implementation of modifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Understand business processes and procedures supported by the Marketing Cloud and CRM system, end-to-end system functionality, and integrations between other platforms.
- Build effective partnerships with multiple business stakeholders and act as liaison between them and the Marketing and Sales Cloud Technology Team and Agency Partners.
- Troubleshoot and manage resolution of reported issues.
- Identify areas for improvement in operating procedures
- Develop creative, data-driven recommendations to help marketing teams track the effectiveness of their campaigns, see trends overtime, to optimize their digital marketing mix.
- Manage integrity of customer database; analyze the quality and recency of the lead and contact data working with third parties to manage data flow, optimize data capture, matching rules, and enrichment opportunities.
- Drive and facilitate contact acquisition planning and campaign creation across US Commercial business teams, responsible to set standards for consistent contact data capture across teams and systems.
- Manage the ongoing evolution of the 360-degree view of the customer in alignment with business strategy. Must ensure data attributes captured across our social, digital, e-commerce platforms and lead generation strategies are carefully evaluated prior to integrating into CRM to ensure data points will derive insight.
- Close Partnership, Alignment, and Collaboration with ITS for Governance, Compliance & Platform reviews, as well as with Legal teams when updates to platform/business processes needed regarding privacy policy changes across the US. Responsible for the education, communication and change management aspects of these changes across US Commercial
- Review latest application releases from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other partner apps on regular basis to determine new features that are appropriate to recommend to Marketing leadership as a necessary road map item to improve current processes, drive business growth, and enhance the customer experience.
- Identify ways to improve Marketing Cloud usage for US Commercial Marketing colleagues on an ongoing basis, partner with Agency partners and Marketing leaders to drive optimization on use of the platform.
- Educate and facilitate the creation of Journey’s, Nurture, and Engagement campaigns across US Commercial to improve the overall customer experience and drive business growth
- Build simple email campaigns and landing pages using company Templates across teams to drive digital engagement and minimize reliance on outside agency partners
- Facilitate collaboration sessions, best practice sharing, and governance between International, US B2B, and US B2C Marketing Cloud stakeholders to remain consistent in our processes
- Partner with the US Business Analytics team to bring Marketing Cloud data into Azure for Tableau reporting to facilitate monthly reporting/dashboard for Marketing to monitor/manage effectiveness of campaigns
- Develop and deliver targeted educational sessions on Marketing Cloud functionality to current and new users; coach and guide the organization on best practices and ways to continue to digitally transform their marketing practices.
- Responsible to update existing Marketing Cloud documentation, SOPs, reference materials, maintain on central repository for easy access by US Marketing Teams, as well as create new documents as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of Marketing Automation experience in a B2B organization
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders as well as strong customer service orientation
- Strong oral, written communication, and organizational skills, especially in the context of documentation and training
- 3-5 years leadership experience with demonstrated success in leading, developing, and successful partnering relationships.
- Ability to align and influence multiple stakeholders for delivery of competing priorities.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement
- Passionate about all things digital and cutting-edge marketing technology
- Strong organizational skills to manage fluctuating workload, multiple priorities and competing time demands.
- Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred, but not required
- Pharmaceutical Animal Health experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Lead Generation, Lead Management and Opportunities processes preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies preferred, but not required
