Marketing Platform Developer – Salesforce Marketing Cloud
A leading global organisation who have a wide range of clients that span a variety of industries have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Platform Developer who in depth knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Our client are able to deliver large scale back end database solutions & implements multi-channel campaign management applications such as Adobe Campaign, IBM’s WCA and Salesforce Marketing Cloud which are generally hosted and managed by a team of Service Delivery, Campaign Management and email experts. The successful Marketing Platform Developer will be an integral part to this and will be responsible for working with their clients to help design, develop and deliver Marketing Automation solutions and support our clients and campaign users.
Role responsibilities:
Implement and configure campaign management applications
Ensure all and any code written and scripting etc. is developed with automation as the principle outcome.
Provide technical support for existing clients and users of campaign applications
Continued development of existing Marketing Automation solutions be these new modules, configuration changes, upgrades or integrations to other third-party software or data source feeds
Provision of estimates for:
New implementations of campaign software
Changes to configurations or new modules to be deployed
Integrations of campaign applications with other solutions
Addition/changes to new feeds
Software upgrades
Ensuring an up to date knowledge of latest releases of software available and how these will impact client installations to perform effective upgrades
Support and work collaboratively with, team managers across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations
Skills required:
Developer level able to architect solutions and integrate any platform
Knowledge of AMPScript and Javascript skills with knowledge of when to utilize each is beneficial but not mandatory. Training will be provided
Strong SQL is preferred as this is used across platforms
Knowledge of programming languages with the aptitude to learn additional programming languages
Data manipulation and data flow within the marketing platform
Experienced with all out of the box modules for your preferred platform
Familiar with Unica, Adobe & Salesforce APIs
Ability to write efficient, scalable and reusable code
Generally strong technical background
HTML / CSS skills
Ability to work your way through and debug critical issues that may sometimes have little documentation and reference points using:
Scripting
Unit testing
Database skills
Familiar with:
Platform architecture
Documenting development
FTP
Have experience of working on client projects from scoping to development and ongoing support
Managing client expectations
