How is this role important to our work?
The Manager Information Technology is accountable for the full development lifecycle of one or more PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) portfolios including Salesforce. The position requires a combination of technical and team leadership skills. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated experience with modern delivery methodologies including DevOps and Agile. The Manager Information Technology manages a team of developers, engineers, and systems administrators and will establish technical direction for the team.
A day in the life:
- Lead technical direction for the Salesforce application portfolio
- Oversee Salesforce platform administration and ensure optimal functionality and support
- Provide project and enhancement governance leadership and drive selected Salesforce projects and enhancements to optimize enterprise success
- Lead application of Agile and DevOps in the software development lifecycle
- Work closely with business partners owners to plan/design product features, stories, product usability, feasibility, and development roadmap
- Ensure continuous growth and development for the team
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
- Fosters a high performing culture focused on delivering high value solutions with minimal investment
- Manages a team including interviewing and hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and ensuring employees receive the proper training. Conducts performance evaluation, and is responsible for managing employees, including skill and career development, policy administration, coaching on performance management and behavior, employee relations and cost control.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on and leadership experiences with Salesforce
- Knowledge & experience with PaaS, or low code platforms such as Pega, ServiceNow, or OutSystems
- Experiences developing modern web, mobile, and other digital experiences
- Experience delivering products using Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience and familiarity with modern development and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, Slack, GitLab, GitHub, or equivalent
- Demonstrated passion for building high quality technology solutions
- Experience and knowledge of technology security and maintenance best practices
- Demonstrated ability to represent team, products, and technology with business stakeholders up to executive level, large meetings, and events
Required skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent and 8 years of experiences designing, implementing, delivering and supporting applications and platforms or 12 years of the same experience in lieu of degree
- 3 years of leadership experiences by managing or leading technology delivery teams
