Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: Long Term contract.

Support for the network infrastructure modernization project.  The consultant is expected to have in-depth technical knowledge of modern data centers, hybrid clouds, and network automation. The consultant must have a strong background in supporting and implementing the complex and dynamic changing network infrastructures. The consultant will be heavily involved in the design, installation, maintenance and operations of the most complex data centre, WAN, and cloud automation technologies, including but not limited to Software-Defined Networking (SDN); Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN); Network Function Virtualization (NFV); and private, public and hybrid cloud network orchestration and automation. The consultant will be helping the State client in building the self-provisioning portal and automation scripts using Python and Ansible.

1.            Provide expertise in the design and implementation of modern technologies that requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the Software Defined Network, Software Defined - Wide Area Network, Software Defined Acess, Network Virtual function and Infoblox. 

2.            Provide on-site support in the deployment and implementation of Network gears at the State Client data centers.  

3.            In-depth knowledge of networking and telecommunication related technologies as it pertains to enterprise routing, datacenter switching, VOIP, Wireless communication, Wire communication and data transport architecture.   

4.            Analyze, develop and write specifications and make final engineering recommendations on various network automation services and systems.

5.            Experience in design, implementation and hardening of cloud infrastructure and edge layer.

6.            Experience in current and emerging cloud, virtualization, automation, and orchestration technologies and service offerings.

7.            Working experience with BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.

8.            Proficient in security products; firewalls, VPN, content filtering, VPN and access controls.

9.            Working experience in modern datacenter, multi-tier applications, and multi-tenant datacenters.

10.          Provide support in the network automation using scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Shell, YAML, Json and POSTMAN

11.          Good understanding of ITIL process and controls.
