Role: Networking Software Architect

Location: Remote

Duration: Full time,Contracting 

Key Competencies and Skills:

Good experience in:

• Networking (TCP/IP, SNMP, MPLS, Cisco CDP), Go Lang, Java, Perl, Linux/Centos, FCAPS-Fault, Performance, and Topology management
• 10+ years’ experience in software engineering life cycle.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Network Service Assurance development, and min 3-5 experience in integration of telecom devices in Assurance platforms
• Experience with Assurance platforms like Federos, EMC SMARTs, EMC Smarts, Federos Assure1 or CA eHealth performance manager, OpenNMS/Cacti/Nagios
• Linux with expert knowledge
• Strong Programming skills in Go / Perl / Java / Python / Ruby (in order of preference)
• Troubleshooting capabilities on network devices (knowledge of TCP dump, wire shark etc), narrow down the problem and solve them
• Performance Optimization of code – Database interaction: query optimisation, concurrency, Multithreading, Counter (effective logging techniques), efficient Data structures etc.
• Experience in building cloud native, or on-premise applications using Microservices frameworks (Dockers, and Kubernetes containers)
• Organized, detail oriented, flexible, and Self-motivated to learn new technologies
• Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines in a fast pace changing environment
• Proficiency to write production grade code, design documents and do code reviews
• Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate at different hierarchical levels.

 Desirable Experience:

• Good Integration experience of the network devices onto the Assurance platforms
• Good Migration experience of discovered devices onto Assurance platforms w.r.t different technology domain
• Hands on experience of configuration and discovery of network devices using Netconf/ Restconf
• Experience in Databased such as Neo4J, Orient DB, MySqL, NOSql
