Role:Oracle Apps DBA

Experience Required: 7+(in yrs)

Relevant Experience: 7+(in yrs)

Education:

• Bachelor's degree
• Less than 5 years of technical experience (preferably Oracle DB experience)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with SQL Server
• Prior experience in Process or Project Management
• Working knowledge of Badger and MetaVance systems

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The Oracle Apps DBA manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
• Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration.
• The Oracle Apps DBA work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
• The Oracle Apps DBA performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems,configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements.
• This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
• Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, systems feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data.
• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
• Follows established guidelines/procedures.
