Position Overview:

Oracle Apps DBA 

Start Date March 1, 2022  

Remote (10 months) 

H1 and above USC/ GC 

C19 vaccine Must  

Windsor Mill, MD 

Job description:

Support Mission critical production environment along with Validation, Test and Development environments including On-call role (24/7) 

Supporting Oracle EBS 12.2.x Database 19c RAC and Data Guard Databases along with other applications and databases 

Automating routine DBA tasks using python, shell scripts 

Experience with automation tools like Ansible preferred 

Triaging issues and Providing root cause analysis  

Provide solutions to improve system performance tuning/optimization. 

Capacity planning & Forecasting 

Proactive monitoring and addressing potential issues  

Oracle DB & eBusiness Suite (EBS) cloning, Patching, Upgrade 

Backup & Restore of Database and Applications 

Maintain and Support to Keep DR system in sync with prod 

Support Change migration to various environments 

Work Experience:

BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline 

10+ years’ experience within Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) applications environment (installation, configuration, upgrade, patching). Preferably R12.2.x environment with Database 19c. 

Strong communication skills, both written and oral. 

Strong backup and recovery skills using RMAN 

Strong troubleshooting skills and performance testing and optimization 

Experience in OBIEE, SOA, Oracle IDM/SSO, configuration, patching and production support 

Experience in designing, developing, and testing updates and new enhancements within RDBMS and Oracle DB Concepts. 

Capacity planning and High Availability configuration with DR setup and configuration experience 

Requirements:

Experience in Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 

Experience in MS SQL Server  

Experience in DevOps / DevSecOps 

Good hands-on experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager configuration and support 

Hands on experience in Ansible, Shell or Perl Script, GIT 

Knowledge and expertise in Shell, Perl scripting and / or Python coding  

Knowledge of Exadata engineered systems 

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 

Experience in MS SQL Server  

Experience in DevOps / DevSecOps 

Good hands-on experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager configuration and support 

Hands on experience in Ansible, Shell or Perl Script, GIT
