This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Info Tech (Outdoor School Salesforce Developer) positions for the Outdoor School (TOS) program at Oregon State University (OSU). The OSU Extension Service Outdoor School program serves Oregon’s School Districts in their efforts to send 5th and 6th grade students to outdoor school. Part of this process is our Salesforce-based application and reporting system that requires regular updates, improvements, and bug fixes. This position will work with the Assistant to the Program Leader, the Contract and Grants Manager, and the Extension Service CRM Developer to fix bugs, make necessary modifications, and improve the system as the application and reporting processes continues to improve.
Position DutiesEmployee will be assigned simple tasks and/or more complex projects and asked to perform independent research of the existing system and Salesforce to determine a path forward and develop a verbal or written action plan (as appropriate), which will be shared with/reviewed by the Extension Service CRM Developer. Upon modification/approval of the action plan, the employee will implement the action plan and post code and/or appropriate notes each evening for supervisor review/approval. Employee will work independently, but with high levels of interaction and communication with co-workers. There could be other tasks/duties as requested/required.

Additional Required QualificationsApplicants should have experience with or an understanding of Java (object oriented programming) and HTML component development (such as React.JS or Angular.JS).
Applicant must have experience working independently and posting progress as directed.
Applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Applicant must be self motivated, and able to work independently and with teams.
Applicant must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
