Position Overview
The SD Business Systems and Tableau Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, developing customized performance reporting, architecting how program data shall be collected and maintained, initiating supplier notices of change (SNCs), and improving the global SNC process. Reporting to the Supplier Development department, the business systems and data analyst will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of procurement organization. The ideal candidate will have strong logic skills, a keen ability to think critically and successfully manage multiple tasks.
Reporting to the Director of Supplier Development/Diversity and Sustainability, this highly visible role will support Suppliers Notice of Change and assist in the development of metrics for supplier development Engineering, Suppliers Diversity and Sustainability.
Job Responsabilities
Business Process Development and Data Analytics
- Mine, cleanse, analyze and interpret large complex data sets from multiple systems to provide relevant information to the business and key stakeholders
- Translate needs of key stakeholders to develop standard reports on data metrics and KPIs
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases
- Enhance data collection processes to further automate and optimize for consumption
- Create automated forms, such as surveys, with built-in approval/vetting process workflows
- Integrate with external data sources to discover trends and interpret key takeaways
- Design rich data visualizations to communicate complex information simply - - to a broad, diverse audience at all levels of the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts in other departments (e.g., procurement, IT, supplier quality, new product development, R&D, planning and fulfillment, etc.)
- Assist to advance statistical or predictive analytics models for data analysis
- Train and educate co-workers on Tableau tools and best practices
- Assist with development of SharePoint (e.g., workflows, websites, graphics, etc.)
- Architect data and information management framework, such as: creating tools to store data effectively within the organization, as well as, maintaining data analytics platforms so that data can effectively be mined for information at a later date

Develop and monitor global KPIs within the supplier development, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability for the following’s activities
- Supplier Excellence - global supplier improvements activities
- New Product Development - regional and global New Product launch metrics
- Cost Recovery – performance monitoring
- Supplier Development Engineering – such as, supplier process evaluation
- Business Continuity - Supply Continuity and Risk Management metrics
- Supplier Relationship Management - including supplier performance, etc.
- Work collaboratively, across Baxter, to ensure each SNC includes the current, correct and complete scope of impact to organization
- Identify Product Core Teams (PCTs) responsible for products impacted to ensure cross functional awareness, clear project management ownership/leadership, and communication of the project scope (i.e. impacted Baxter facilities and products)
Supplier Notices of Change (SNC)
- Assess new supplier change requests and collaborate within the SNC Team to develop a project charter, including the project scope, impacted facilities, and products. Work with global team members from Procurement, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and the Sustaining Product Organization. This includes support for all regions and global business unites
- Advocate the Risk-based Approach to resolving SNC projects
- Resolve and escalate project leader issues and questions
- Identify and implement process improvements and work optimizations for the SNC Program
- Simplification and sustainment of process documentation – focused on ease of use to drive compliance to global purchasing processes, and knowledge sharing of best practices
- Assist in implementation of process ownership framework and deployment; provide governance of existing open SNC projects to ensure timely closure
- Support other key initiatives within the department as needed; such as: maintaining schedules for key strategic initiatives; tracking key business risks; supporting disciplined operating mechanisms
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with courses in business, mathematics, statistics, information technology, science, or appropriate combination of education and experience required.
- Experience in Tableau required
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience creating, and analyzing large datasets from multiple disparate sources, producing analytic reports for high-level audiences, and presentation of information; experience building complex reports and managing projects
- Minimum 2 years in Procurement and Project Management
- Prior experience in process development and implementation required
- Expertise in problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies; lean six sigma certification, a plus
- Knowledge and experience in healthcare Industry and processes is a plus
- Travel: 10%
