Job Description:

As a Product Designer we believe you need to be passionate about new technology and excel in a multitude of different disciplines with an excellent working knowledge of others. An experience designer devises interaction strategies in sync with user goals and clients’ business goals, develops navigation and structure, designs wireframes or interactive prototypes, organizes content, and tirelessly advocates for the needs and goals of real users. This person will make strategic and tactical design decisions related to design and usability as well as features and functions. You will also perform usability assessments and tests of interactive systems. The best candidate will possess outstanding creativity, a highly detailed nature, and the ability to help define and solve complex user interface problems.

A Product Designer at Synechron is required to work in all areas of digital design. Our designers must be able to undertake several roles as we believe that well-rounded team members produce the best work. You will take part in internal project kick-off meetings to understand the business needs, brand, users/customers and gather all creative requirements from clients or Synechron stakeholders. You will work with technology and creative leads to map out the user journey and website/application architecture that will lay the foundations for a successful digital platform. The needs of the business such as increasing sales, brand awareness and data collection combined with user centric design are at the forefront of your decision making when creating the best possible user experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To be active in the project lifecycle – from brief and pitch to usability and build
• Working collaboratively with account managers, creatives, or developers to deliver digital output of the highest quality and to the business requirement
• Staying on track with emerging digital trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community
• Articulating and presenting creative ideas/treatments to teams and clients
• Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the client
• Working closely with senior staff to improve your skills in all areas of digital creative and technology

REQUIRED:

• Significant technical experience in UI/UX best practices
• The ability to spot problems in all areas of UX design before they arise
• Over 4+ years’ experience in a similar role, within the financial services industry preferred
• Digital innovation mindset, with the ability to challenge the norm in the banking world, and to back it up with research findings
• Pro-active and incredibly creative

TRAVEL:

• It is preferred that you would be flexible to travel to any of Synechron’s global locations for short- term consulting or pre-sales meetings when required.
