We are looking for a talented Product Lead to run our Customer Interaction Platform team. You will report into the Head of Product for OVO Shared Services and drive the development of the agent tooling estate. Working with senior stakeholders across the business your mission is to build out the agent platform to support 4m+ customers, that will both drive operational excellence, a great agent experience and enable new capabilities to support our drive to help customers self-serve. Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

This role sits within Shared Services, which is responsible for driving the engine of our retail business. We provide the platforms and capabilities for our brands (OVO, SSE and Boost) to serve customers; from agent tooling to payments systems. You will be the lead for the Customer Interaction Platform team which is focused on the tools and services that help our customer service agents support customers.


What will I be doing?

  • Strategy
    • working with senior management and stakeholders to define effective strategies;
    • ensuring product and technical choices support the delivery of OVOs business goals
  • Team
    • hiring Product managers as needed;
    • defining OKRs & KPIs for cross-functional teams that support company priorities and allow teams to own their areas;
    • coaching your team to help them in their personal development;
    • sharing & encouraging best practice product development;
    • enable a customer-centric, lean product development culture;
    • facilitating and improving cross-group collaboration;
  • Delivery
    • accountable for the key KPIs across your products and ensuring their visibility across your key stakeholders;
    • helping your teams make difficult product & prioritisation decisions & developing their roadmaps with them;
    • Get stuck into the day-to-day; working with exceptionally talented engineers to build and maintain vital services

What we're looking for?

  • You are an accomplished product person with a proven history of delivery; as well as driving commercial & strategic focus;
  • You are able to demonstrate the ability to provide clarity in a complex and changing environment;
  • You're passionate about working in a dynamic environment and thrive off responding quickly to changing information;
  • You are an inspiring line manager and coach - passionate about developing others and supporting your team;
  • You're able to grasp new concepts quickly, and show the tenacity to keep asking until clarity is achieved;
  • A team player who encourages and facilitates collaboration within your team and across the OVO Group;
  • Ideally you have experience of knowledge of operational environments, and the tools and platforms that enable them, and are able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges these areas present; but more importantly you have to be willing to learn
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills - able to cut through opinions with data;
  • A strong relationship builder with the ability to empathise and collaborate across the business;
  • You're not precious. You roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
