SUMMARY
The Salesforce Administrator will work as part of a team dedicated to building and maintaining the Salesforce Platform, ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of Salesforce for our various business units. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part Salesforce analyst. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes including: Fundraising, Marketing, Outreach and our core program business processes. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and to help project manage ongoing development/enhancements and should have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Force.com platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 120-150 users, complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades, and manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development request and support reporting and administrative needs.
  • Assist in training of new users, grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization, and promote user adoption of Salesforce.
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams.
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day support and problem resolution, including managing bug/feature request queue, troubleshooting and escalating issues when needed, and documenting and improving processes.
  • Leverage available documentation, training, and vendor support teams to administer third-party applications (DocuSign, Nintex DocGen, Clearbit, etc).
  • Collaborate with internal teams effectively, seek to understand user experience and stakeholder perspective on operational processes, and deliver clear solutions to stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
  • Strong understanding of the platform’s functionality and best practices, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Excellent project and data management skills and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator
  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified
  • Preferred: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Platform App Builder certifications; Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment.
