Since 1980, NAF has been partnering with high-need communities to improve outcomes for students by implementing NAF academies – small learning communities within existing high schools. NAF has grown from one NAF Academy of Finance in New York City to hundreds of academies across the country focusing on growing industries including: finance, hospitality & tourism, information technology, engineering, and health sciences.

During the 2019-2020 school year, over 110,000 students attended 620 NAF academies across 34 states, plus DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. In 2019, NAF academies reported 99% of seniors graduated with 86% of graduates planning to go to college.

Summary of Position:

NAF is transforming the way high school students prepare to be future ready and we’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to help us build the technology that delivers on that vision.

We recently selected Salesforce as our CRM platform and we’re looking for a Salesforce Administrator who is excited to build this platform from the ground up in. In your first year, you’ll be working alongside our implementation partner (Bigger Boat Consulting) to design the strategy, implementation, and rollout for three departments: corporate engagement, alumni relations, and emerging academies.

You will work closely with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to design new features; build those features (sometimes by yourself, sometimes with an implementation partner); and then ensure they are well adopted and contribute to NAF’s success. If you’re excited to build out Salesforce using agile methods in deep partnership with program teams, then this position is for you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee all elements of NAF’s Salesforce CRM technology, including:
  • Creating custom objects, fields, formulas, page layouts, views, workflows, and validation rules
  • Building reports and dashboards to summarize key constituent data
  • Configuring Salesforce security and managing user permissions
  • Designing new features in sandboxes, testing and gathering feedback from users, and deploying to production
  • Maintaining data, including migrating data between systems, cleaning data, and managing duplicates
  • Managing vendors who can help configure our Salesforce environment

• Work closely with NAF’s internal business units to maximize the impact of Salesforce, including:
  • Understanding business needs
  • Prioritizing, scoping, and architecting new features
  • Using agile methods to collect user input and feedback during development
  • Training users and supporting system adoption
  • Responding to tickets and user support requests
  • End to end project management
  • Evaluating the impact of Salesforce at NAF and driving improvement

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of Salesforce platform experience (certifications are a plus)
• Great verbal and written communicator who enjoys translating technical concepts for non-technical professionals
• Juggles many projects simultaneously – you have superb attention to detail and excellent self-organization skills
• Able to collaborate with external vendors, internal tech team colleagues, and business unit partners

• Bonus points if you have experience working with nonprofits, education organizations, and/or small agile technology teams
