Location: Detroit, MI

Job Summary :

The Salesforce Administrator manages the support and leads the ongoing development of a Salesforce.com deployment for a multi-billion-dollar global company. The successful candidate must have a record of success in improving processes and user adoption of the Salesforce ecosystem. This role is both technical and business facing. Candidates must have deep Salesforce skills to execute the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of the CRM platform, as well as the communicative skills to work with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 150+ users
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, build custom reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Ensure all standard daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual administrative tasks are completed
  • Troubleshoot user issues as they arise
  • Understand all aspects of system configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases
  • Perform regular internal system audits to make sure the system is working efficiently
  • Create and maintain an archive of field history tables
  • Perform data audits to ensure high level of integrity, accuracy and completeness of data • Manage inbound/outbound data feeds and other integrations
  • Assess and align application security and access based on Salesforce best practices
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
  • Determine if new development opportunities can be completed with existing functionality, or if it requires new licensing or apps from the Salesforce AppExchange
  • Monitor user adoption rates and provide trainings, communications, and documentation to foster growth to new and existing Salesforce.com users across the organization
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
  • Mentor a junior resource by providing challenging opportunities that provide value to the organization
  • Comprehend new capabilities coming with each new release, build and execute a plan that takes advantage of applicable new functionality
  • Chair the corporate Salesforce User Council
  • Present to executives in Stakeholder and Governance meetings

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator
  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified
  • Deep Sales Cloud experience
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Ability to identify areas for process improvement and recommend/implement solutions
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of data structures and data modeling
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
  • Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Insurance and/or Banking
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Marketing Cloud, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant certifications preferred
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment
