The Salesforce Administrator will be a part of the leadership of the ODFL Salesforce technical ecosystem. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Salesforce platform. The administrator will work closely with multiple teams within the company to perform various functions of the Salesforce platform for either sales, marketing or service. This role will play a key role implementing our Salesforce architecture including, but not limited to, Pardot, Sales / Service / Marketing in partnership with all stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for all administrative duties, acting as the first line subject matter expert and in-house advisor as it relates to Salesforce. Responsibilities: Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications – serve at the System Administrator for Sales, Service or Marketing The administrator will work closely with multiple teams within the company to do the following on our Salesforce platform, covering either sales, marketing or service: identify issues / opportunities develop new / changed capabilities execute day-to-day configuration provide support maintenance and improvement testing / validation Serve as back up to other salesforce areas. Communicates regularly with the Salesforce Product Owner and others to ensure functionality meets user expectations Champion / Super User within the technology systems group, educating other team members on the capabilities and potential applications of Salesforce. Serves as key liaison with Enterprise IT technical resources in areas related to system support for areas Maintains at least high-level familiarity with other Enterprise IT system /business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream / downstream integration or functionality intersection points. Maintains updated system documentation & policy/procedure Handle all basic administrative functions and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formula, data validation rules, processes, custom flows, reports and dashboard, security and access Work closely with all stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business strategies Administer and configure third party applications and tools as required Address user questions, aggregate and prioritize user feedback, and plan and implement Salesforce enhancements based on personal expertise, user feedback and organizational goals Monitor new Salesforce release features and functionality and provide recommendations for process / capability improvements Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades Coordinate Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests from internal customers Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering or related field Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator (Sales or Marketing or Service) 5+ years of experience as an IT professional Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certification preferred Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption. Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity Strong, demonstrated understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality Strong data management abilities Demonstrate strong attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills Strong verbal, written and presentation skills Demonstrate creativity and intellectual curiosity around problem solving complex issues Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment a plus Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
