Crop Health and Protection (CHAP) Ltd is one of four UK Agri-Tech Centres launched under BEIS supported by Innovate UK in 2015. As a unique, independent nexus between UK government, researchers and industry, CHAP builds innovation networks to identify and accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions to drive transformative change in sustainable crop productivity. To help drive this CHAP is seeking a Salesforce Administrator and IT Project Manager to support the growth within the business.

About the Role

The Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development of our Salesforce and FinancialForce deployment. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using these platforms. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders to identify develop and deploy new business processes including:

• Finance
• Marketing
• Partner Engagement
• Membership
• Sales
• HR

This role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part Salesforce analyst. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM, PSA and finance platform.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com and FinancialForce environment with 30+ users
• Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
• Manage Salesforce.com data feeds
• Manage 3rd party integrations
• Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests
• Manage backlog
• Assist in training of new users
• Define and document new functionalities and processes
• Manage internal IT transformation projects

Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Salesforce.com administrator is essential
• Previous experience of FinancialForce an advantage
• Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
• Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
• Strong data management abilities
• Evidence of successfully driving projects to completion
• A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
