Job Description

The Salesforce Application Architect will be responsible for designing and developing solutions for multiple projects. The Salesforce Application Architect will work closely with Client Solutions and customers to implement robust Salesforce solutions. Successful candidates must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with a passion for understanding their clients’ business and implementing technical requirements in a way that fulfills that need. Outstanding listening skills, genuine interest in fostering teamwork, a willingness to provide honest feedback, and extreme ownership are keys to the success of our projects. Candidate will also have the responsibility of the overall health and management of the tool, including the formulation and recommendation of operational, upgrade and general management policies and standards for the platform.

Responsibilities

• Function as the primary technical resource for all projects and initiatives that plan to leverage the Salesforce.com platform. Work with colleagues to understand how to best leverage the capabilities of the platform as well as the suite of solutions available.
• Develop new solutions on the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud platform and leverage the platform by acquiring, developing and/or integrating both off-the-shelf (app exchange) platform solutions and configuring new business solutions on the platform.
• Provides best practice advice and recommendations to clients often extending beyond Salesforce to topics around overall systems architecture and CRM strategy.
• Collaborate with Functional team to determine how best to implement solution (decisions around declarative vs programmatic vs AppExchange, etc.).
• Develop solution design and technical architectures to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and for leading a team of resources through the build, test, and deployment phases
• Leads technical requirements gathering and/or design workshops for complex projects.
• Lead the development and implementation of solutions leveraging Salesforce.
• Provides overall Salesforce technical expertise.
• Provides overall systems architecture expertise in order to relate to and build upon existing client environments.
• Architects creative solutions that solve our client’s business and technical problems
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into user stories and tasks.
• Gather reporting requirements and translate them into Salesforce reports and dashboards.
• In collaboration with the team, support UX/UI engineering tasks.
• Identify risks and issues early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage Salesforce administration and configurations including organizational structure, app integrations and other subscriptions.
• Manage the process of evaluating, communicating, testing, resolving issues and deploying Salesforce platform upgrades/releases as needed.
• Leads and facilitates project discovery to define business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Develops Data Models.
• Develops Security strategies.
• Develops data integration, migration, and deployment strategies.
• Lead Proof of Concepts and technical solutioning.
• Mentor resources; take on leadership roles to expand overall practice capabilities, etc.
• Provide industry best practices as a trusted advisor to key business and technology stakeholders and identifying areas of product growth
• Develop solution presentations for both technical and non-technical audience.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development life cycle.
• 5+ years of experience in implementations of complex Salesforce solutions using agile methodology in multitenant, cloud architecture
• Experience working with the Force.com platform (Apex Code, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce Pages, HTML, JavaScript, Web Service APIs)
• Firm understanding of Salesforce Lightning: Experience developing Lightning Components - both within the Salesforce Lightning Design System and by writing custom Lightning Components.
• Deep understanding of SFDC concepts and practices. Able to identify the appropriate use of native tools vs customization via Apex/Visualforce development. Aligning these recommendations to best practices.
• Experience developing innovative solutions using the most advanced Salesforce development techniques to help the bank get the most out of our investment in Salesforce
• Strong understanding of database design concepts, data migration and data integration
• Experience with ETL and integration tools such as Mulesoft, scribe.
• Must have experience in developing System Architecture Documents, Data Model Documentation (ERDs) and Security Model Documentation.
• Strong technical writing skills. The ability to take the lead role in developing comprehensive solution and documentation.
• Demonstrates excellence in understanding complex business processes and ability to apply scenarios to Salesforce Use Cases.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; executive level presence and experience facilitating meetings.
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical business users from various backgrounds including sales, support and marketing.
• Experience with both agile and waterfall implementation methodologies.
• Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer certification required. Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Certification will be required but are not a pre-requisite for the role.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Experience in building and deploying Salesforce applications using the Package Deployment Model.
• Thorough understanding of authentication and authorization using Salesforce Identity.
• People skills with the ability to lead and motivate others and interface with client.
• Must have at least one certification - Salesforce.com Administrator, Salesforce.com Developer.
• Experience in the banking and financial services sector is a plus.
• Experience in Financial Services Cloud is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Time management and multi-tasking ability are critical.
• Preferred Salesforce certifications: Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Advanced Developer, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer, Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant, Certified Service Cloud Consultant.
