What You’ll Do

Lead all technical design sessions and collaborate internally to develop solutions to enhance the Salesforce platform

Hands-on with all aspects of our technical CRM operations

Develop and evolve architectural principles, frameworks, and standards

Closely monitor proper testing and performance and security requirements

Implement infrastructure, system, application-level monitoring to ensure high system availability

Improve and manage application/configuration deployment tools

What We’re Looking For

AppFolio has an immediate opportunity for an extremely talented Salesforce Architect who wants to have a significant and measurable positive impact for users, the company's bottom line, and the industry. The Salesforce Architect role is responsible for software architecture for our business-related systems. This position does not only require excellent technical skills, but outstanding analytical, leadership and influencing skills paired with great business insight. It is a cross-functional leadership role that requires alignment building and communication with the engineering organization.

Must-Haves

• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• 6+ years related industry experience in a SaaS company
• Skilled in APEX and Visualforce
• Experience with Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with Lightning
• Salesforce Certified Developer, additional certifications desired
• Experience with CI/CD
• Enterprise integration architecture and patterns, MicroServices and Orchestration
• Strong understanding of integrations and databases
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Agile development
• (Nice to have) Experience in Cloud application design and development in Force.com, Heroku, Ruby on Rails, SpringSource, Amazon RDS, Azure, J2EE or .Net
