Position Overview

Salesforce Architect with SharePoint Experience

Requirements:

  • The Solution Architect has overall responsibility for the architecture and design of solutions that encompass a single or multiple departments and enterprise applications.
  • The Solution Architect is responsible for evaluating the requirements of a business or IT ask and architecting an IT solution by developing an architecture and a high-level design document.
  • The Solution Architect may also be asked to develop a level of effort (LOE) to support that request.
  • Solutions may cover a broad spectrum of the business (i.e. laboratory, billing, logistics, patient services, finance, legal, etc.) and applications/ technologies regardless of the architect's primary area of expertise.
  • The architect is responsible for the creation and presentation of a number of artifacts including, but not limited to the architecture overview documents, solution sketches, data models, integration patterns, LOE estimates etc.
  • He/she is further responsible for leading other technical & non-technical team members and provides design oversight and guidance at varying levels during project execution.
  • Finally, the Solution Architect is charged with ensuring solutions are in support of strategic goals for the company both business and IT.
  • Communications (emails) coming into client from clients or patients containing PHI or PII must be on a secure portal.
    • Design an interface that can secure information.
  • Design a solution that has capabilities to be used enterprise wide.
    • If vendor selection is Salesforce, scope will be limited to Salesforce Commercial & Salesforce IES instances that use the case object.
  • Define the mechanism to secure the communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates high level requirements from demand managers, analysts, other architects and business partners for completeness and accuracy
  • Engages with project teams across all spectrums of business to triage requests and determine solution options
  • Develops, documents and presents solutions to members of multiple architecture, development and infrastructure teams for purposes of solution development and or the gathering/refining of estimates
  • Leads and drives solution discussions both with business and other IT personnel
  • Organizes and leads cross-functional discussions within the IT and business organizations in support of solution development
  • Guides, directs and provides technical leadership to cross-functional project teams throughout project execution life-cycle
  • Ensures both requests and solutions are in alignment with strategic goals
  • Manages solutions across multiple initiatives and teams simultaneously
  • Provides input to RFPs and RFIs being presented to or developed by client on behalf of the IT organization
  • Evaluates technical capabilities of vendors on behalf of client
  • Creates and presents solutions with varying options covering both tactical and strategic needs as necessary
  • Rules on technical or architectural disputes
  • Ensures adherence to established standards and processes
  • Provides managers with technical performance assessments
  • Recognizes new/evolving trends and ensures personal growth and skill maintenance as a contributor. Analyzes new technologies to resolve business problems
  • Works with vendors to better understand how features and interfaces of outside applications can facilitate the fulfillment of customer requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Preferred:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated SharePoint solution design, Salesforce and email work low architecture experience
  • 7+ years demonstrated experience working with enterprise level systems
  • 5-10 years' experience working in large-scale, heterogeneous IT environments Other:
  • Has deep technical expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, Salesforce and email workflow design
  • Demonstrated ability to influence with credibility across business functions or technologies with analysis (based on prior experience).
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical language.
  • Strong leadership, project and team building skills ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives by working effectively with others with a demonstrated ability to work cross-departmentally.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines with minimal oversight and input
  • Strong collaborator willingness to share ideas, documentation and best practices.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.
