Weber is seeking a Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud (aka Demandware) Developer with hands on development skills and knowledge of platform internals to support our eCommerce growing roadmap. This person will be working closely with various cross functional groups primarily Project managers, Business users and Developers to provide technical solutioning, design and development support that help accelerate our eCommerce roadmap. The ideal candidate will bring in creative thinking, have strong technical problem solving and communication skills which are key to success for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage with Project management and business partners as it relates to providing solutioning options, and planning support
- Work with Development team to ensure technical requirements, design is understood, best practices are followed for functionality, performance and security.
- Performs hands-on development of key components for our site releases.
- Responsible for site releases
- Troubleshoot issues and core problems
- Research platform capabilities, identifies opportunities as it relates to eCommerce roadmap.
- Proficient with a hybrid agile methodology
- Plan for a continuous integration development model
- Improving efficiency and effectiveness of Weber’s technology platforms including influencing and establishing best processes through solid design, decisions, and tools
- Participate in setting goals, strategies and initiatives across multiple platforms
- Provide technical platform leadership
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to execute on deliverables
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience (5+ years) in Sales Force Commerce Cloud (aka Demandware) development and implementations (SFRA is a plus).
- Strong background, understanding of Commerce Cloud (aka Demandware) platform capabilities, architecture, design and development.
- Strong background in core JavaScript
- Ability to do hands-on design, development of feature capabilities including setup, configurations (e.g. in SFCC Business Manager)
- Knowledge of secure development practices.
- Understanding of front-end frameworks, web services, caching methodologies, CDNs, request, response flow
- Ability to troubleshoot site issues, use various tools commercial or open-source to trace analyze and resolve issues internal or with external 3rd party integrations
- Good database (SQL Server, MySQL) SQLs skills to look up related data elements in related subsystems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail with a consistent record of delivering results
- Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
