As part of an initiative to drive forward the use of its Salesforce CRM system Aegon has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst who is passionate about turning ideas into tangible delivery and enjoys building relationships and helping develop solutions to key business challenges. The role gives access to a fast-paced environment at the cutting edge of a large business and also presents the opportunity to get involved in new initiatives and new technology.

We are looking for
  • An experienced Business analyst with a proven track record of turning business ideas into technical deliveries
  • Someone with a track record of:
    • Working closely with business areas to gather requirements
    • Documenting requirements for technical teams
    • Documenting system developments in digestible formats for business users, and training these business users on new functions / processes
This role sits within our Analytics team which has three key responsibilities:
  • Insight : To provide analyses to inform and challenge Sales & Marketing activity. Providing insight to drive strategy in order to retain and grow revenue
  • Infrastructure : To ensure Aegon has the core customer and adviser data to facilitate effective marketing and allow clear measurement of the impact of our activities
  • Action : To support Aegon's market strategies through enabling the physical execution of both end-customer and adviser focussed campaign activity

Summary Of Role

The role of a Salesforce Business Analyst is to provide key project support to all future Salesforce development within the distribution area. Building relationships with key stakeholders, defining requirements, supporting all aspects of project delivery and roll out via training and documentation.

Key Tasks
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and end-users to determine business case requirements and goals, for future development on the Salesforce platform.
  • Support projects and ensure that the delivery stays both on schedule and to quality expectations.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Apply project delivery methodology to the delivery of various core initiatives.
  • Organise, support and provide User Acceptance Testing and end user training.
  • Work directly with the Salesforce Development team to relay requirements and support development symbiotically.
  • Support the delivery of best practice within the business to ensure key KPI’s are met and the tool provides optimised value for the user.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to provide core business benefit and present this back to key senior stakeholders with compelling arguments.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and knowledge of the wider Salesforce ecosystem.
  • A passion for understanding how things work and finding solutions to complex problems in a simple manner.
  • Natural leader who is skilled at getting the best out of the project team.
  • Confident managing the design & implementation of technology across multiple projects at a time.
  • Experience defining strategy, understanding clients' business process, developing requirements and implementing practical business solutions.
  • The ability to work as part of a fluid team or autonomously, under pressure to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • A confident and professional attitude to work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of value drivers for both life companies and financial advisers.
  • Understanding of the core functions within a CRM system and how this supports the business process.
  • A good grasp of the dynamics of Sales function within a B2B environment and how this interacts with other areas of a business.

Experience
  • Previous Business Analyst experience developing requirements for, ideally, CRM projects and supporting implementation.
  • Working knowledge of AEGON (or relevant B2B/Financial Services companies) distribution network and how this interacts with related areas of the business.
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
  • Salesforce accreditations beneficial.

Salary

Competitive salary dependent on experience from £33,440 to £41,800.
