Salesforce Consultant: Community Cloud Specialists

As a Salesforce Consultant: Community Cloud Specialist, your work will focus on customized Communities deployments. You’ll partner with clients to guide, educate, and empower clients through solution configuration and delivery; that's the Idealist Way.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guide clients and internal teams through project life cycle

  • Plan Service Cloud projects from requirements-gathering to solution design and development, testing, and deployment

  • Discover Service Cloud project requirements, through empathy mapping and user story documentation

  • Build business solutions that balance native and custom design including:

    • Customization of new fields, objects, page layouts, list views, reports, etc.

    • Automate with Workflow, Process Builder and Flow

  • Validate configuration through quality testing and facilitation of user acceptance testing

  • Move client data from legacy systems

    • Manage data hygiene and upkeep including deduplication, owner changes

    • Facilitate data migration and data mapping

  • Educate clients and administrators on functionality, provide training and system documentation

  • Empower clients and drive user adoption

    • Collaborate with Client Success Manager and Director of Services as needed to resolve project roadblocks

Desired Experience

  • 2+ years Salesforce administration with strong declarative design skills and the ability to deliver customer-driven solutions

  • Proven experience with Community Cloud (certification strongly preferred)

  • Previous experience as a consultant or Business Analyst

  • Experience managing projects or engaging in projects with technical and cross-functional and departmental components

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including translation of technical requirements to non-technical individuals

  • Previous experience designing and building Communities and customized Communities

  • Creative and analytical thinking with a passion for solving customer problems with software solutions

  • Salesforce Admin Certification (minimum requirement)

  • Nonprofit Cloud Certification a plus
