The Salesforce Development Manager will be managing a team of Salesforce professionals, working in a SCRUM based SDLC; that are dedicated to delivering high quality products, features and capabilities on the salesforce.com platform to our business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is well versed in agile methodologies and techniques and will lift the current software development life cycle to an even higher maturity level.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Day to day management, including coaching and career development, of the Salesforce Development Team, reporting up to the senior director CRM.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize candidate development projects that will drive business value; construct and maintain the CRM roadmap.
  • Own the Salesforce Software Development Life Cycle; identify opportunities to learn and improve; coach less experienced team members in working in an agile environment.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Salesforce Application Support Team to transfer support cases that transition into development projects; and do knowledge transfer that allows them to provide end-user support for newly developed Salesforce features and capabilities.
  • Own, manage and improve the Salesforce deployment and release process, that allows us to manage and deploy Salesforce releases across multiple Salesforce instances.
  • Work effectively with other CME departments (IT, Global Information Security, Corporate Compliance etc) to make sure that our SDLC is aligned with our corporate standards.

Skills and Software Requirements:

  • 6 + years’ experience with the Salesforce platform in a technical role with exposure to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the development of custom applications and integrations on the
    Force.com
    platform.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM) in a leadership role, applied in a Salesforce environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, support and grow a team of Salesforce professionals. Experience with distributed teams is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, familiar with best practices related to requirements engineering, business analysis, development, testing and deployment.
  • Hands on experience with agile tools (Jira, Rally) and tools for version control and release-management (Git, Ant, Jenkins). Hands on experience with Flosum is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills - demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence business partners. Excellent verbal and written communication to technical audiences, non-technical audiences, and senior management.
