Job Description

RiskSpan is seeking a motivated Corporate Data Analyst with technical data and IT experience to work within our corporate operations team. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with others on implementing end-to-end sustainable improvements in data management, dashboards, and reports, as well as potentially designing and implementing a simple data warehouse. The role involves a tight collaboration with many departments including Finance, Marketing, Sales, Business Units, and Executive Management. The ideal candidate is a highly data-driven individual with great operational and IT skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop repeatable queries or reports from applications for Finance, Marketing, Sales, Business Units, and Management.
• Identify and execute new ways to optimize data management and reporting processes – e.g., from data governance/management to simple data warehouses.
• Continually evaluate and improve corporate data and develop data-driven processes.
• Work with internal partners to outline specific data responsibilities, definitions, ownership, and needs.
• Extract, clean, validate, and store consistent data.
• Prepare and support reporting on business activities to measure success against corporate and business unit goals.
• Develop and support/maintain reporting that adapts to changing business requirements
• Strive to improve the operations of the company while ensuring effective and sustained data integrity.
• Work with Salesforce to:
• Enter and validate/confirm data and build data processes, which feed reporting.
• Create/modify/communicate workflow rules and process builders.
• Create/modify custom fields and formulas.
• Build a basic suite of consistent reports, including modifying/eliminating existing reports.
• Create/modify dashboards.
• Import data using data loader.
• Fulfill business requirements.
• Facilitate data interface with other systems.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be highly motivated, independent and thorough, with the ability to recognize needs and develop/implement solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business, Finance, Marketing, Math, Computer Sciences, Information Management or other technical focus.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in data related operations and reporting.
• Experience querying data, creating reports and dashboards is desired.
• Prior experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
• Experience implementing corporate data/reporting initiatives is beneficial – i.e., data ownership, definitions, management, governance, and data warehousing.
• Demonstrated ability for problem solving and critical thinking.
• Experience building business requirement and testing is beneficial
• Working knowledge of other third-party tools such as Pardot, NetSuite, OpenAir, and/or other commercial accounting systems is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with a lot of patience for analyzing data.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with others.
• Results-driven with a desire to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
