JOB SUMMARY
Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) is seeking a Salesforce Database Administrator to provide the following services: update, automate and consolidate BLUE’s data streams into Salesforce and ensure that data usage is GDPR compliant.
Applicants must have experience working as a senior Salesforce administrator, including training. The successful candidate will have great organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
The successful applicant will work remotely from home.
Salary: £30,000 per annum (3 months: £7,500)
Hours & contract information: Fixed-term, three month contract. Full time: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
Location: From home
Holidays: 5 weeks leave per annum plus national holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Salesforce Data cleansing – work with the Director of Development, Head of Marketing and Communications, Head of Partnerships, Head of Events, Fundraising Executive and other members of the BLUE team to:
- Merge duplicate records
- Set hierarchy
- Update records
- Migrate data from other systems into Salesforce
- Ensure data usage is GDPR compliant
Salesforce systems integration and automation – work with the Director of Finance, Office Manager and Marketing and Communications Officer to:
- Integrate Salesforce and Outlook for the relevant BLUE Team members so that communications are recorded automatically.
- Seamlessly integrate Salesforce with the Financial Management system Xero.
- Review how Salesforce and Campaign Monitor are talking to each other, including what data Campaign Monitor is using and how it is being used. You may be required to build new framework/cells in Salesforce (guided by BLUE) to optimise the way in which Campaign Monitor and Salesforce work together.
- Ensure that the data collected from BLUE’s website is automatically entered in Salesforce correctly for the intended use (e.g. donations information, newsletter sign-ups, etc.).
Team training and Salesforce best practices
- Training the Office Manager on Salesforce administration (back end).
- Assisting the Marketing and Communications and Events Teams to ensure that the newsletter subscribers are reached and addressed personally through Campaign Monitor, plus, enabling automation of unsubscribe requests.
- Demonstrating Salesforce best practices to the Fundraising Team to maximise return on BLUE’s Opportunities, Campaigns, and Events.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Proven experience in a similar role
- ADM201 or ADM211 certification is preferable
- Advanced knowledge of GDPR dos and don’ts
- Ability to work with large data sets
- Proven ability to implement new processes
- Demonstrate ability to understand and articulate complex processes
- Understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
- Assist in training and supporting new users
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
