Salesforce Database Administrator

About this role

As Headstrong continues to scale in a sustainable fashion, there will be a needed emphasis on impact & evaluations. The foundation for this arm of Headstrong will be based on accurate and reliable data with frequent reporting. The Salesforce Administrator will report to the Program Manager and will be responsible for standardizing Headstrong reporting, database management, and the point of contact for all integrations, expansion, and visualization projects. This FT position is critical to allow the organization to disseminate impact to gain funding, build relationships and position Headstrong to be a national leader in the market. 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, Create, and Execute on 1-year data management strategy alongside Program Manager and the Program Director
• Standardize Headstrong’s overall master reporting via Salesforce for Programmatic, Development and Organizational process indicators
• Introduce and execute project plans for data visualizations 
• Work alongside the Program Director and Program Manager to measure internal and external KPI’s
• Develop impact toolkit and assist reporting of impact for Headstrong
• Assist with annual report production
• Conduct training as needed with Headstrong staff and clinicians

• An expert understanding of the Salesforce platform
• Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
• Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
• Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred
• Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
• Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
• Strong data management abilities
• Experience with nonprofit processes preferred

Position Requirements

• BA/BS (Graduate degree a plus but not required)
• Salesforce Sales Cloud and a Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certifications
• Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 8 administrators and 200 sub-users
• Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
• Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
• Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
• Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
• Work with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
• Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
• Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the development team
• Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
