Reports to: Managed Service Team Leader
As a Salesforce developer working within our busy Managed Service department, the successful candidate can expect to work on a large variety of customers’ Salesforce orgs, spanning across several industries and engaging with key stakeholders and consultants. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills as well as being able to work independently or in a team effectively.
The role is focused purely on development and the successful candidate would be responsible for designing best in class, scalable solutions through the use of Apex, Visualforce and Aura components, communicating with consultants and stakeholders, collaborating and designing solutions with other members of the development department and ultimately providing value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with a team of Managed Service consultants to manage development requirements
- Providing technical expertise and best practice guidance to the wider team
- Reviewing solution summaries
- Providing estimates for future development work
- Mentoring junior team members and working with the wider team to share new ideas and best practice
- Preparing and presenting knowledge shares to up skill other staff
- Ensuring that:
- the code is performant and will scale
- unit tests are scenario based (rather than coverage) and contain appropriate positive/negative test cases
- coding standards are being followed
- best practice is adhered to
Required Skills:
- Administrator, App Builder, Platform Developer, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud certifications (or equivalent experience and commitment to earn the certs within 1 year)
- Minimum 2+ years’ development experience, including a minimum 1 years’ Salesforce experience
- Strong Apex (triggers, batch, web services) and Visualforce development skills
- Experience of JavaScript/Lightning components
- Good understanding of Apex sharing and security models
- Experienced with Lightning Web Components
- Project experience across multiple clients and industry sectors
- Skills in analysing and problem solving issues
- Ability to work well in a team
- Experience of requirements gathering, solution design and estimating development effort for medium to large projects
- Experience of prioritising tasks and working to deadlines
- Experience in working with wider team members such as project management
- Experience of integration and data migration
