GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Performs highly advanced (senior-level) computer programming work in CPA Salesforce application. Provides technical expertise to the team with design discussions and peer reviews. The Programmer will oversee in the design, implementation, deployment and documentation of projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset. Provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
WORK HOURS:
The position works an eight-hour schedule between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, 40-hour week, Monday - Friday with occasional work schedule variance as necessary. Occasionally work additional hours. Hours may change based on business needs. Teleworking will be considered if certain work conditions are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preform Salesforce analysis and development.
- Take ownership of reported issues and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner reporting progress to the Salesforce Lead.
- Design and complete complex coding in accordance with internal CPA policies
- Document the coding, configuration, links, content, and component application solutions.
- Work closely with business units, application teams, and Information Technology areas to identity, review and evaluate the solution requirements.
- Provide technical and functional expertise for Salesforce applications.
- Participate in development planning and scheduling.
- Identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with other developers and administers for effective programming solutions
- Analyze and maintain Salesforce user authentication methodology and security architecture.
- Work with internal business users and clients to evaluate business needs, analyze processes, and create system documentation that reflects the finished Salesforce application.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Prepare charts, diagrams, and tables that depict the present and/or proposed systems that describe the benefits derived, and processes accomplished.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Complete CPA required training
- Attend essential departmental meeting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems.
EXPERIENCE:
Six (6) years of work experience in each of the following areas:
o Salesforce and JavaScript
o Salesforce development experience such as: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component frameworks, Triggers, writing test scripts, and batch Apex.
o Experience configuring Salesforce using Workflows, Validation Rules, Lightning Flow, Process Builder, Roles, Public Groups, Dashboards and Change Sets.
o Develop software solutions such as: Salesforce.com API framework, 3rd party APIs, REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On
o Customization and configuration experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce Communities
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of work experience in each of the following areas:
o Served in a role as a Salesforce software developer on multiple lifecycle implementations of large-scale ERP IT applications.
o Work with highly complex application security requirements as well as experience designing and supporting systems adhering to information protection and security standards.
o Experience working using data tools like Dataloader
Two (2) years of work experience in Agile development methodology.
One (1) year experience with serving in a senior development position on at least one full lifecycle implementation of Salesforce.
o Ability to Architect if need is a plus solutions
SUBSTITUTIONS:
One additional year of experience in program development may substitute for thirty semester hours of the required experience with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).
