Job Purpose:

Texas Department of Insurance requires the services of 1 Developer 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer 2 Category, Emerging Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Insurance.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Insurance  may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. Texas Department of Insurance will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Programmer/Developer 2 is being solicited by TDI to perform work on an agency Salesforce application. Emphasis of work performed shall be modifying and enhancing an existing application adopted from another state agency to meet the needs of TDI. Programming work will include, but is not limited to:

• creating robust role structure to apply and govern access to data within the application.

• creating and modifying objects and fields to gather data related to the agency's legislative tracking.

• implementing workflow approvals; and

• creating reports and lists to meet business area requirements.

Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation, as well as knowledge share with ITS staff prior to contract completion.
