About the Team:

The Tesco Mobile DevOps team is a truly cross functional team responsible for both the functional software development as well as the running and operate of multiple bespoke IT solutions.

You will be working within a very diverse team of highly motivated and talented individuals on business-critical software developments. Our teams are motivated and challenged working in 2-week sprints providing real benefit to the wider business.

Your Role:

As Salesforce developer in the DevOps team, you'll be responsible for supporting Small Change in Sales Force Service Centre. Develop and unit test new functionality/configuration. Follow development pipeline practices towards CI/CD. Develop deployment tools needed for Service Cloud. Take an active role in code reviews. Take an active role in knowledge sharing sessions. Work along the rest of the team (devs/QA/Scrum Master/BA).

All the members of the team have exposure to the Frontend, Backend (API) tools as well as the Automation. We think diverse exposure helps the individual and team grow a greater E2E understanding of our platform.

Responsibilities:
  • To support Small Change in Sales Force Service Centre
  • Develop and Unit Test new functionality/configuration
  • Follow development pipeline practices towards CI/CD
  • Develop deployment tools needed for Service Cloud
  • Take an active role in code reviews
  • Take an active role in Knowledge Sharing Sessions
  • Work along the rest of the team (Devs/QA/Scrum Master/BA) during the sprint
Skills & experience:
  • Experience with Sales Force Service cloud tech
  • Experience with AWS or cloud infrastructure
  • Strong Unix/Linux background
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of: Java/Javascript
  • Continuous integration pipeline knowledge (we use Jenkins)
  • Git/Github knowledge
  • Experience of working with an agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Understanding of the Software Development lifecycle (SDLC) from design to live service
  • Experience with Scrum tools (JIRA)
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to collaborate and work as a team player
Additional Information:

Grade: PCGU

We’re looking to pay a generous salary (depending on experience) for this position. We also offer plenty of extras to sweeten the deal, which could include things like bonuses, life assurance cover, health care and lots of flexible benefits.
