As a Salesforce Developer you will identify, research, develop, and implement complex SFDC solutions that have significant value (innovation, efficiency, competitive advantage) for the business. The Technical Lead SFDC has expert knowledge in SFDC and other systems that impact either the business channel supported or the overall enterprise. You will then work with other IT teams to provide project-level development support, knowledge transfer, and the integration of new technologies into the T. Rowe Price (TRP) technical architecture and process framework.
You will act independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical and business process guidance concerning the business implications of the application to various systems and provides technical consulting on complex projects. The Technical Lead SFDC mentors or leads in the development of architectures and strategies for major SFDC projects. This would also include reviewing other applications and enhancements to ensure that they follow the overall system design.

Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others designs/code

Capable of leading a small team of developers for a specific project

Design, develop, test and maintain usable, scalable, extensible solutions on the platform
Translate business requirements into logical, component-based technical implementations using the toolkit Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, javascript, workflows, approval processes, triggers, SOQL,
Produce technical specification and design documents as required
Collaborate with scrum team members to ensure thorough understanding of business requirements and processes
Produce all required artifacts, including analysis and design documentation, as well as technical implementation specifications
Support implementation activities and troubleshooting of system environmental issues sandbox and production
Provide ongoing code-level maintenance and support
Drive resolution of all issues that occur during development
Attend and provide input to the scrum ceremonies, and provide level of effort estimates for sprint planning
Perform Administrative configuration, as needed
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Able to work directly with business stakeholders
Decisions show a focus on current and future business priorities, together with fiscal responsibility
Can articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions
REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a BS/MS degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of related work experience
2+ years of hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform including Apex, Visualforce, API (REST/SOAP), workflows, approval processes, triggers, Lightning, CSS, HTML, javascript, web services, SOQL, dataloader
2+ years of systems design, programming, implementation and integration experience
Active Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform Developer I and II
Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
Strong analytical, problem solving/decision making skills
Experience working in an Agile Scrum delivery framework
Strong attention to detail
Exposure to any of the following tools and applications a plus: Gitlab, AutoRabit, Rally, Selenium
Financial Services experience a plus
Stays current with many best-of-breed technologies
Programs proficiently in several languages and is comfortable switching between them
Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing at the time of feature development
Develops data models or schemas from scratch and knows of key concepts such as ACID, Normalization, and Transactions
Debugs large components with limited assistance and assists other engineers with debugging
Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others designs/code
Performs as an expert in one or more parts of the software lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, deployment). Oversees significant pieces of development within the development lifecycle
Designs and develops practical APIs and abstractions.
Owns technical debt in their own software
