How Is This Role Important to Our Work?


The position will serve as an administrator and business system analyst within the Salesforce platform. This role will enforce SFDC architecture, design standards, data integrity and security standards, and handle administrative tasks and system configuration such as managing security roles, updating page layouts, creating dashboards, and importing data. This role will develop a close working relationship with business stakeholders, understanding their business processes, and how the Salesforce system solution can support those processes. This role will translate business requirements into system requirements including facilitating requirements gathering sessions, writing user stories, assisting with business acceptance testing, managing change requests, and training end-users. This role will also work closely with Salesforce developers and others in the IT team to help resolve user issues and incidents.


A Day in the Life:

  • Responsible for SFDC APEX development and administrative activities for a salesforce instance used by Sales, Service, and Operations departments. The instance uses Sales and Service Cloud Lighting along with several Salesforce add-ons such as CPQ and Conga.
  • Manage and develop APEX code, complex data integrations, user and data security requirements, including user access requests and user permission control, including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, field level security, and sharing rules.
  • Handle Salesforce APEX development needs and administrative needs including creating new records and fields, updating page layouts and list views, creating reports and dashboards, importing data, etc. Manage user issues, and requests for help.
  • Responsible for managing data integrity and increasing user utilization. Responsible for managing general intake requests, enhancement requests, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Facilitate regular Stakeholder governance meetings, communicating information about cross business Salesforce initiatives, and working with business stakeholders to prioritize incoming enhancement requests.
  • Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Salesforce capabilities and fine tune business process and procedure.


Nice to Have:

  • 2+ year APEX development experience
  • 1+ year experience on large-scale SFDC projects in the healthcare industry.
  • Salesforce.com System Admin Certification (ADM-201).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years work experience or 12 years work experience in lieu of a degree 5 years of experience of working with SFDC as an administrator, or as a business analysis or project manager within CRM projects.
  • Worked in an organization of 100 or more users with experience providing user support, training, and data cleanup and/or data migration to and from Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of release management and change control processes.
  • Strong project management, project planning, execution skills, and organization skills.
  • Results-oriented, timeliness, attention to details and accuracy.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence a range of audiences.
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with software development delivery methods (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and deliver to aggressive timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to fully understand and clearly articulate business requirements into functional features.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationship, drive innovation, and establish best practices and processes.
  • Proven skills in analytical thinking, initiative, multi-tasking, teamwork and cooperation.
