Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Collaborate and communicate within the project team, working with the business analysts to understand the requirements and formulate solutions
Develop, test, document and deploy changes through Salesforce
Have a good understanding of all software engineering quality standards/benchmarks – both industry wide and those specific to Innovate UK
To engage with the project team's to understand their mission and objectives and align person objectives, goals and aspirations as required
Have a good understanding of security concepts and solutions of Salesforce components
Communicate, both written or orally, with both business and technology stakeholders at peer and adjacent organisational levels
This is an outline description of the key responsibilities and accountabilities involved in the job. This is not an exhaustive list and the post-holder might be expected to undertake any other duties across the wider directorate, commensurate with the Band and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
Qualifications:
Desirable – Degree level qualification is not essential but is desirable, it is more important for the applicant to be able to demonstrate current projects they have worked on and their role in them.
Experience -
Essential –
Salesforce Lightning experience
Skills in Salesforce development technologies
Extensive experience of Agile software development and working in SCRUM teams
Desirable –
Performance: testing / tuning, jMeter
Continuous integration / deployment: Bamboo, Jenkins
Knowledge of Unix, shell scripting
Experience with dev-ops tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins, AWS, Docker)
Relevant Salesforce certification from the following:
Certified Salesforce Developer Admin 201, App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer 1, Platform Developer II
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong task planning and delivery skills
Care, accuracy and attention to detail
Self-awareness
High levels of professionalism
A ‘self-starter’ with strong motivation to succeed
Excellent problem-solving skills with a can-do approach
