SalesForce Junior Developer

Client is searching for a Salesforce Junior Developer to support our client at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the area of Salesforce development and implementation. Developer will be a key member of the Salesforce implementation project team and be responsible for the overall design and build of Salesforce components, modules, and applications. Focus areas will be on development, integration, securing access between systems by creating, testing, and evaluating results, to ensure components have been verified and approved following protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as Developer will interact and partner directly with stakeholder units to identify system needs, gather requirements, assist with prioritization, and successful project delivery.
Position Responsibilities:

• Plan, write design documents, build, test, and deploy solutions within an agile framework and sprints that deliver high-quality code frequently.
• Supply expertise in advanced Apex programming concepts including common design patterns, governor limit management techniques, bulk patterns, efficient and reliable trigger handling, and asynchronous operations.
• Engage in code and technical design reviews of solution implementations to ensure code quality and standard methodologies are maintained.
• Identify the customer service requirements through discovery meetings.
• Analyze performance, implement enhancements, and manage stakeholder requirements primarily related to the Salesforce environment. Look at the system strategically and advise stakeholders on ways to improve their processes.
• Conduct end-user training and create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation. Develop and continue to refine CRM implementation standards and tools.
• Provides technical solution for the assigned user stories.
• Escalates technical issues to the Salesforce System Architect and/or the designated AFRS Program Manager.

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field of study (Information Technology/Computer science), OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required
• Minimum 4+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visual Force, Lightning Components, JavaScript) are required. Salesforce certification preferred.
• Contractor must possess and/or have the ability to obtain a favorable Tier 3 (formerly NACLC and ANACI) investigation for IT-Level II access.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work across platforms, participate in multiple projects, and solve technical and business problems; understanding of API level integrations between applications
• Solid understanding of deploying/migrating Salesforce code from a sandbox into production environments.
• Proficient with Agile Methodologies and utilizing the SAFe agile execution framework, to support Agile production deployments on a rotational basis.
• Solid experience and understanding of databases, schema design, ER diagramming and Salesforce database languages SOQL, SOSL.
• Experience with data migration and ETL/integration tools.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical individuals to solve complex business problems.
• Ability to multi-task with good decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn the intricacies of a new industry and move through new topics at a rapid pace.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills; Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers.
• Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
• Ability and willingness to accept responsibility, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risk, to stimulate, market and sell new ideas within the organization.
